Meghan Dimon

Meghan developed a love of yoga in 2014 during her pregnancy.  Ever since then, the mental and physical benefits of yoga have played an enormous role in her life.   Meghan completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Open Sky Yoga in Rochester with Francois Raoult.

Meghan’s yoga classes are appropriate for all levels of practice as they consist of slower, flowing movements sprinkled with strengthening and balancing postures.  Each class begins with a focus on breath and concludes with rest.  It is important to Meghan that each individual feels safe and comfortable while taking her classes.

Meghan also teaches children’s yoga classes where students take part in variety of games, activities, and mindfulness practices.

She offers individual yoga & mindfulness tutoring sessions, as well, to children in Kindergarten through third grade.

Outside of the yoga studio, Meghan is a second grade teacher and loves adventuring with her son, Joel.

"Yoga does not change the way we see things, it changes the person who sees" - B.K.S. Iyengar

As a teacher, my intention is to help people discover and appreciate the beautiful gifts yoga has to offer. I want to create a safe and nurturing space for people to come back to themselves - to their bodies and their breath.  I want to help people understand that yoga is so much more than being flexible and even if you are not very flexible you can still do yoga. Yoga truly is for everyBODY!

I first tried yoga over 10 years ago when I was searching for a way to deal with the pervasive feeling of overwhelm in my day to day life.  When I first started practicing yoga, I was doing it for the physical benefits and to relieve stress and anxiety.  I approached each class wanting a really good workout.  However, over time, something started to shift - it became about more than just the physical.  I was discovering a deeper connection to my breath and a healthy connection to my body. I began to feel a little more calm, balanced and centered.  I was curious about the changes I was noticing - how I was showing up in the world a little differently (with more patience, compassion and love for others and for myself and feeling less stress, frustration and anxiety).

My curiosity led me to completing my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training through the Boston School of Yoga, and continued with The Art of Teaching Beginners and Preventing & Managing Common Yoga Injuries with Jason Crandell.  I'm currently learning more about Tantra Yoga, breathwork and meditation. I'm excited to continue my yoga journey and will soon be starting my 300 hr Yoga Teacher training.  Some of the classes I teach include Beginners Yoga Workshops, Vinyasa yoga and Restorative yoga.  I welcome you into our Yoga community and I am so grateful to be a part of your Yoga journey!
